Structured, thoughtful lessons for beginners and lifelong learners
Whether you’re beginning as an adult, returning to the cello after years away, or looking for lessons for a young musician, you’re very welcome here.
I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward with clarity and confidence. Every lesson is tailored to you and your goals.
Many adult learners enjoy progressing from individual lessons to playing with others. My Big Skies Cello Project offers a supportive environment in which to build confidence, develop ensemble skills and enjoy making music as part of a group.
I aim to create a calm environment where students feel safe to explore and grow. Lessons are built around purposeful, manageable steps without pressure for perfection.
I'm a dedicated music educator with over 25 years' instrumental teaching experience. As well as my private teaching practice in Swavesey on the Fen Edge of Cambridge, I work with cellists at The Perse Prep School.

Recent performances have taken place at the Fitzwilliam Museum, Gonville & Caius College and Shelford Festival & Feast.
I offer an initial lesson at my standard rate to ensure a good fit for each student.
If you’d like to enquire about lessons, please send a brief message with a little information about the student and your availability, and I’ll be in touch. Availability is limited and at busy times I may operate a waiting list.
